Dachshund's my name and badger's my game. Daschund, Dashund or Doxie, all one in the same. My story began many years ago. My
homeland is Germany, a fact you should know. I'm a half a dog high and a dog and a half long.I don't think I'm small, I'm big, bad and strong.
Willful and stubborn, I like to dig holes. Chase lizards and squirrels and the occasional mole. LOOK OUT! for me, I just might bite. If I don't know
you I won't be polite. Devoted I'll be to the family and you. But left all alone I'll be lonesome and blue. "Bark", "Bark", "Bark" can you hear me? The
younger I learn the quieter I'll be. Some of my bad habits you're now made aware, but as your best friend no other breed can compare. I'm
clever, lively and courageous too. All that I am I'll be that for you. Long hair, Wire hair, a coat that is smooth, three different type from which you
can choose. Black and tan and chocolate are just two colors. Isabella or red and lots of others. Wild boar or dapple is a great look on me. I'm
very well dressed, don't you agree? Miniature, Standard or in between, I steal the show, I rule supreme. My back is long and could be at risk,
keep me in shape so I don't slip a disk. I may live to be a very old hound, after fourteen years I could still be around. I'm a popular dog, a really
big hit and that's my story the long and short of it.
